View—Selected Drawings and Paintings 1985–1995 was the first American museum presentation of Chicago artist Julia Fish. Featuring a selection of works from the preceding decade, the exhibition highlighted Fish’s examination of the forms of abstraction and representation in painting and uniquely provocative analysis of the boundaries of abstraction and the limitations of the static painted image.
